Comic book action heroes are
becoming all the rage in pop culture today with movies turning into trilogies
and more and more paraphernalia from adult sweatshirts to an infant’s bottle.
But all of this merchandising and capitalization stems from the original
drawings that once sold for $0.15 a piece. Boys and girls alike would collect
the books, swap ones they received as gifts but were doubles, and sell them back
and forth between each other. Not a lot has changed in this respect when it
comes to today’s comics but there are some classics that will never be touched.
One of these is the Green Lantern.
The Green Lantern, with his ultimate ring of power,
was one who truly used his powers for good and had everyone routing him on in
every adventure he encountered. Today you can buy a copy of Green Lantern #84
co-starring Green Arrow is available for those that are still searching to
complete their collection. This comic, known as part of the Bronze Age comic was
published by DC in 1971. A second edition copy which has been sealed in plastic
in a standard way is worth approximately $37.00 USD. Not too bad of an
appreciation value there!
