Pictures and info on All Good Comics #1.
There are vintage comics and then
there are vintage comics. This comic book is one of the first of its kind when
people were just starting to learn of colorful illustrations on a page and the
stories they could tell. The first issue of All Good Comics titled, “The Joy
Family, Dick Transom, Rick Evans, One Round Hogan,” is appropriately considered
a Golden Age Comic, given that it was published in 1946. It was published by Fox
Feature Syndicate and written by Stan Ford.
This comic, in good condition, has a
manufacturer-issued single staple running throughout its entirety including the
cover and the centerfold. Buy it bagged and boarded and back in its day, it
would have cost $0.10, a whole day’s work on the paper route. Today it can be
yours for $95.00, not a bad mark-up in sixty-some years. For those that love to
cherish true pieces of the past, All Good Comics is sure to be an excellent
addition to your collection!
