With Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo
all coming out with the newest and greatest game consoles, it’s easy to become
wrapped up in all the modern technology. There are however still avid collectors
that want to pay tribute to the consoles of yesteryear such as Atari. Atari has
been in existence since 1966 but the second version of the console is the one
that comes to most people’s minds when they think of the gaming system. This
system was sold from 1980 to 1981.
The price for these consoles is still very low with
one being able to get their hands on one for as little as $19.95. But if the
system is kept properly maintained and in working condition, these little game
boxes are sure to be valued at much, much more than that in the years to come.
The system along with fifty cartridge games can be bought off of Ebay for
$125.00.
The Atari soon died out but it is sure to make a
huge comeback with collectors over the next several years. Collectors are
starting to seek these systems out and keep them in fine condition with the
knowledge that one day, they will have a rare item that will be very hard to
find.
