What was the world's first Sony Walkman?
Sony is responsible for the
portable music player craze that has not stopped since it began back in 1979.
Sony
bigwigs Masaru Ibuka and Akio Morita came up with the idea of sticking
headphones onto a cassette player and gave their developer Kozo Ohsone a staff
to make it happen.
On
July 01, 1979 the world's first Sony Walkman, theTPS-L2, was launched bearing a
price tag to the tune of $200.00 USD.
