The first Sex and the City movie
was released on May 30, 2008 and was a continuation of the television series of
the same name. The movie came 4 years after the last episode of the television
show aired and it has been said by many associated with the movie that it is a
continuation of the characters lives and that it would answer questions for the
fans that went unanswered in the TV show. The major stars in the movie were:
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristen Davis, and Cynthia Nixon, all who
reprised their roles of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda, respectively.
Chris Noth, Jennifer Hudson, and Candice Bergman also all had large roles in the
movie.
The movie grossed $415,129,126 at the box office
and was very well received by the public. Michael Patrick King produced and
directed it and Sarah Jessica Parker also co-produced the film along with Darren
Starr. The film was so hugely popular that a sequel to the movie is currently
being developed.
