The story of Devil’s Garden.

In the small little community of Hutch, Kentucky in Bell County comes the legend of a sad and terrifying tale.

One summer a group of teenagers was out having a good time at a local swimming hole. They were all drinking, swimming and enjoying quite a bit of playing around. One of the kids slipped and hit his head on a rock that was in the shallow water. Since, the teenagers were drinking and of course probably did not wish for their parents to know they were out drinking wanted to cover up the accidental death of their friend.

They tied a rock to their friend’s body to keep it under the water and left. The next day, wondering if all of this had been a bad dream they went back to the swimming hole. The police had already arrived to the scene and found the body.

Much to their surprise, their friend had not died from hitting his head on a rock, but had drown. No one ever spoke the truth or mentioned they had even been there that terrifying night. Fifteen years later, the now grown teenagers began to disappear one at a time. Finally, the two left, confessed to their crime and were sentenced to 10 years in prison.

As the legend goes, if you venture out to the swimming hole on a night that the moon is full you may catch the glimpse of a skull just on the water’s surface.
