WORLD'S LARGEST CHEESE WHEEL
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the world's largest cheese wheel?
Are you one that just loves slicing into a beautiful
wheel of cheese? If so, then you might be excited at the thought of a 6-foot
wheel of cheese that weighs 1,323 pounds. Unfortunately, the cheese is not for
sale. The giant wheel of cheese was made in the Netherlands in July 2006 by
Beemster and is made from delectable Gouda. It visited several places throughout
the world including New York, which is where the above picture was taken, and at
each showing, Beemster supplied small samples of the different cheeses that they
have available.
The large wheel of cheese is thought to be worth
about $15,500 but CEO of Beemster, Eric Hultz, made it perfectly clear that the
cheese wheel was never for sale. He did suggest at one point that Beemster may
turn the world’s largest cheese wheel into the world’s largest fondue and hold
an event in which that fondue was sold for charity. However you dish it up,
there’s no doubt that this is a whole lotta cheese!
