When was the world's last Beatles concert?
On Monday August 29 1966 the Beatles performed at
Candlestick Park in San Francisco.
Although the stadium had a capacity of 42,500 people, only 25,000 showed up for
the 33 minute concert although they surely would have sold out had anyone known
this was to be the last Beatles concert ever.
After the concert the Beatles announced they had
given up touring to focus on studio recordings.
