How long is the world's longest candle?
In February 2005 the
Hussaini Drawing Society for Islamic Arts
created a candle from donated wax to celebrate the day of Ashura.
The candle measured 73 meters, weighed 3,000 pounds and held 12,000 wicks which
were lit by the spectators as part of the celebration.
February was a month for candle records as a
British candles company created the longest vertical candle at a height of 25.3
meters.
