THE MOST DISTANT IMAGE OF EARTH
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What is the most distant image of Earth ever taken?
On February 4, 1990, after 12 1/2
years in space, Voyager 1 looked back and snapped a picture of our home planet
from just under 4 billion miles or 6.5 billion kilometers away.
In the picture below Earth is the white dot near the
middle, the band of light is caused by the scattering of light caused by the
glare of the Sun which is just off the top of the picture.
