AMERICA'S MOST CENSORED
TELEVISION SHOW
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the most censored television show in the America?
Censorship is a widely debated and
highly controversial topic. Those that hold these types of issues among their
favorite, such as Madonna, are known to push these boundaries to their very
limits and the Queen of Pop did just that on March 31, 1994, when she went down
in history as appearing on the television show to have the most censored words
ever. The show was the Late Show with David Letterman and the one responsible
for the coarse language was Madge herself. When asked to leave the set, she
refused and further fueled the controversy.
No one, except perhaps Madonna herself, was
impressed with her behavior. The Federal Communications Center spent months
handling complaints and issuing statements and David Letterman himself said,
“people don’t want strong language in their homes on late night television.”
This statement was despite the fact that Madonna’s lewd behavior gained him some
of the highest rankings in the history of his show.
