WORLD'S MOST HAIR DYED
IN 24 HOURS
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the most hair dyed in 24 hours?
Lots of women love to get their
hair dyed. And having to reserve the colorist at a salon weeks in advance is not
an uncommon thing. But how many stylists would it take, and how many weeks in
advance would you have to book if you wanted to take part in the event that
marked the most hair dyed in 24 hours?
While there’s no word on whether appointments were
necessary, the most hair dyed in 24 hours took place on October 21, 2009 in
Lisbon, Portugal. The event was held at the Sergio & Margarida Hair Salon and
was put on by Schwarzkopf and the owners of the salon. Because there was no
previous record to beat, the Guinness Book of World Records mandated that at
least 100 heads of hair be dyed within 24 hours in order to set a world record.
When Jack Brockbank, official representative and
moderator for Guinness Book of World Records arrived, he soon found that the
record was easily going to be made. And that anyone attempting the feat
afterwards would have some difficulties.
10 professional hair stylists were on hand to help
with the dying of the hair of the volunteers that were all too eager to take
part in the event. Working like a well-dyed machine, by the end of the 24 hours,
there were a total of 380 heads of hair dyed within 24 hours. This set a new,
and the first, world record for the most hair dyed in 24 hours.
