When was the world's second Primetime Emmy Awards Show?
The 2nd annual Emmy awards show
was known as The 2nd Annual Emmy Awards until 1972 when the Daytime Emmys
debuted and the second ceremony ever held then became known as the 2nd Annual
Primetime Emmy Awards. The ceremony was held at the Ambassador Hotel in Los
Angeles, California on January 27, 1950. Like the year before it, most of the
winners were from television shows or television stations that were based in the
Los Angeles area. A few of the winners of the evening were:
