THE SECOND SEASON OF THE APPRENTICE
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the second Season of The Apprentice?
In September 2004, The Donald and
his Boardroom came back to fill the television screens in our living rooms as we
geared up to watch Donald Trump choose from a group of highly-skilled candidates
to find out who would ultimately become his apprentice. Donald Trump was coming
out with the new season following the huge success of the first season of the
show the previous year and he had some twists planned to make even better and
more exciting than the previous year’s selection process. While the men and
women were divided to form 2 teams, just as they were in the first season, each
team then had to choose one member to send to the other team, to play for them.
The person that was chosen for each team then became the Project Manager for
that team for the first week. The second twist was that a winning Project
Manager from one week could not be fired the following week, should their team
end up in the Boardroom. The last twist that Trump added was that the losing
Project Manager had the choice of bringing 2 or 3 people into the Boardroom with
them, instead of just the 2 that were allowed during the first season of the
show.
The season lasted for 15 weeks and ran from
September 9, 2004 – December 16, 2004 and in the end, Kelly Perdew emerged as
the winner, after facing runner-up, Jennifer Massey, in a fierce head-to-head
competition. Perdew, at 37, was the oldest candidate on the second season of The
Apprentice and had a very heavy military background. Donald Trump hired him to
oversee and market Trump Place as well as become Executive Vice-President for
Donald Trump’s own brand of water, Trump Ice. Perdew now works as CEO of
RotoHog.com, which provides sports fantasy games for Fortune 1000 companies and
major sports leagues.
