WORLD'S SECOND
HARRY POTTER BOOK
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the world's second Harry Potter book?
J.K. Rowling took the world by
storm when she released the first book in the Harry Potter book and fans of the
first novel couldn’t wait to see what the second installment of the series would
have in store for the young wizard, Harry Potter. The second book in the series
is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and it begins with Harry returning to
Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, despite Dobby the house elf’s
warnings against returning. However, he does return with his friends, Ron and
Hermione, and while Harry spends time fighting against evil demons and
instructors, he is also faced to prove himself as a true, loyal, and honest
student and wizard.
While the first book in the series didn’t provide
any sort of time frame when the sequence of events happened, The Chamber of
Secrets provides an answer to this question when a resident ghost of the school,
Nearly Headless Nick, speaks of how it is the 500th anniversary of his Halloween
death in 1492. This makes the time frame lie in the year 1992-1993. The book was
first released in the UK on July 2, 1998 but it wasn’t released in the States
until nearly a year later on June 2, 1999.
