WORLD'S SMALLEST HOME RUN
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What is the world's smallest home run?
OK, maybe it should be world's
shortest home run, but we don't have that section and just had to include this.
Back in 1900 Andy Oyler of the minor league Minnesota
Millers connected with a ball and started running.
Andy Oyler knew it had a chance of being a home run,
not because it was going, going, gone, but because he was the only player who
saw where the ball went.
While the other players were
searching for the ball Andy ran around and registered the world's smallest, or
shortest, home run.
If you are interested in the
length, the ball imbedded itself in the mud a mere 24 inches from home plate.
